Ms Gates has done it again! Crafted an absolutely wonderful book.
ER physicain Dr Jay Latimer travels to the fictional desert kingdom of Damhoor and encounters a most enimatic Doctor - Malek Aal Hamdaan. But as Jay slowly discovers, Sheikh Malek is much more than that. He is handsome, charming, autocratic and an amazing surgeon!. Jay is captivated and Malek equally with her, but Malek has responsibilities he cannot forget, which make him not free to love Jay as he wishes to.
One thing that makes this book stand out over its contemporaries is the depth of the growth of the relationship between the two protagonists. The development of the emotional intimacy is as potent as the sexual intimacy later in the book. I think readers can fall a bit in love with Sheikh Malek and Jay themselves and be envious of the relationship they forge. A great read.
5 stars at least!!
