The Sheikh's Unsuitable Bride by Liz Fielding (HR #3999 - January 2008)

With the other drivers off sick, this was Diana's chance to prove herself. As a single mom, and professional chauffeur, if she could impress Sheikh Zahir, she would likely be rewarded with more VIP clients in the future. If only she could stop talking and laughing ...definitely not the conduct expected from a chauffer. Zahir is charmed form the first, except he mustn't forget that his mother is currently arranging his marriage ...

To tie in with Lori's new to you theme this month, this is the first time I have read anything by Liz Fielding. I ordered this title recently after reading another challenger's review, and have to say that I am impressed! This short story was spunky, funny, warm, and enchanting. It definitely has that fairy tale quality about it, and I really enjoyed that. I am not normally drawn to sheikh stories, however, am glad I gave this one a chance. There was a beautiful connection between the characters, and this added so much to the feel of the book. I will definitely be watching for more Fielding stories from now on!

HI

I don't have this book and stay away from Sheiks and royalty but this author has a lot of great press on this blog and I have bought several of her books to read. Glad you enjoyed this one

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!

We think...

alike on the sheikh theme, too.  I've been told that even I would like Liz Fielding's sheikh stories so I guess I need to try one by her soon.  Especially since you are also saying positive things about her. Great review!

me (in the way I usually don't like Sheikh books)

I think I
might start making exceptions to my "no Sheikh" rule for authors like
Liz, Susan Mallery (the SSEs), and Olivia Gates (i can forgive her
anything because she wrote Damian and became an auto-buy because of him)

I use to think...

...that I didn't like Sheikh stories, but when I think of them as pure fantasy, or fairy tale it helps me "view" the story in a different way. This is one of my favorites because of the way Fielding handled the H/h and their relationship. It is a sweet read and a wonderful way to curl up and spend a couple of hours.
