Shopaholic and Baby

I've read the other books in the Shopaholic series and I just needed to finish it off. In this book, Becky, is expecting her first child with Luke. The first quarter of the book drove me crazy. I got so fed up with Becky's shopaholic ways, I could care less if someone's wearing $200 Applebottom jeans and boots with the fur. I like to opt with the a $50 pair of jeans and $15 ballet flats...but whatever. I couldn't connect with Becky's obsession with owning anything and everything, especially if its got a designer label attached to it.

I finally got hooked about halfway in, Becky had suspicions of her husband cheating on her. I think that most girls have been in this situation before and I think most, if not all, would react (or at least have thoughts of reacting) in the same somewhat crazy manner.

It was a good, quick read but the only thing that didn't sit well was the fact that Becky drank a bit during her pregnancy. She was always in bars and sipped on champagne at her own baby shower. If you've read the other Shopaholic books, you should give this one a shot.

I read a couple

of these....they just didnt turn me on, so I didnt go back.

Got Books?

I think...

That these need to be read for pure enjoyment, nothing more.  They're not deep reads, and Becky is at times shallow but in the end I think her heart is in the right place.
