Simply Perfect

The fourth book in Balogh's SIMPLY series stars Claudia Martin, the owner and headmistress of Miss Martin's School for Girls. Despite having lost her three friends to marriage recently, Claudia continues her life's goal of providing and education and future to both paying female students and her "charity girls". Then Joseph, the Marquess of Attingsborough, arrives at her school, and, though she doesn't quite realize it, her future is quite radically changed.

Balogh's regency-set romances are always delicious, slow, heartwarming and very emotional. Simply Perfect is no exception. The characters are wonderful -- human and real -- and with real flaws. Balogh includes many characters from her previous books as well, for those who follow the series. The entire story builds very naturally and believably. I have to say that Balogh has succeeded again in a wonderful read!
