The Single Dad's Patchwork Family by Claire Baxter - Romance - Apr 08
Chase Mattner had taken leave from his job as a lawyer to raise his young daughter in tranquil, secluded Leo Bay. He plans a simple life and doesn't plan to get involved with anyone. Then he meets Regan Jantz at a cocktail party which was being held to launch a new initiative of the state's government -- packaging South Austalia's Eyre Penninsula into an activity-filled holiday experience aimed specifically at Japanese tourists.
He is there on behalf of his friends who take tourists out to swim with the sea lions. Regan runs a tuna farm and is there to support the idea and to practice her Japanese. She is divorced and has two young sons to bring up. She is not looking to get involved with anyone either.
Regan has a dizzy spell while at the reception and Chase helps her to regain her balance before she falls and then buys her dinner. A week later Regan called Chase to thank him for the dinner and ends up agreeing to help Chase make a cake for his daughters birthday. She and her sons spend a few days in Leo Bay and the kids get along well.
From that point things get complicated......
