Sizzling

Reid Buchannan was a star-pitcher and quite a stud in his day so a spiteful newspaper article says.  The only place he could hide from the media was at his grandmother's house.  His grandmother, Gloria, had fallen and broken her hip and Reid hired three nurses for the intractable old lady.  Nurse number three was not hired for her bedside manner with him but, little did he know who he hired!  Lori Johnson wouldn't take any grief from either Gloria or Reid.  And when Lori gets Gloria turned into a sweet, loving person, she also has turned Reid into a responsible adult male.  The thing was, she couldn't understand his kindness towards her and the feelings she has for her employer.  Will they sizzle?

Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors and this book is an example of why.  The author took a very dsyfuntional family and one very determined nurse and created the family we all wish we had.  I loved Gloria; she was so crabby and I loved Lori too because she was so determined to turn Gloria around.  Reid, I thought seemed superficial and his kindnesses to Lori confused me because he didn't seem to be doing them for the right reason.  However, when the going got tough for Lori, he was a rock at her side.  I give this book a B+.Cool
