Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh (Berkley Sensation 2006)

The Psy world is devoid of emotions. Sascha Duncan must conceal her true feelings at all costs. This becomes more challenging as she enters into a business arrangement with Lucas Hunter, a Changeling alpha. Lucas knows Sascha is different from other Psy, and the two must work together to bridge the gap between their two worlds.

Kathy D blogged about this series in 2007, and I was so impressed by her reviews, that I tracked down the books. Kathy, once again, you have introduced me to a fantastic author. I love Singh's writing, and appreciate the imagination she has to create a series like this one. Slave to Sensation is the first book in the Psy-Changeling series, and it drew me in from the very first page. This series is different from other paranormals that I have read, and I really enjoy Singh's perspective. This is a touching story, and presents countless opportunities for sequels. Sometimes I find the initial book in a series to be a slow read since the author has so much information to reveal. Singh has done an excellent job with this, laying a solid foundation that maintains a quick pace. The interaction between Sascha and Lucas is sensual, and the character descriptions are colourful. The secondary characters are equally compelling and involved. Kathy, you have hooked me on this author and series, and I couldn't be more grateful!

Fantastic beginning...

to the series!  And the more I read, the deeper I get drawn in to the world of the Psy and Changelings.

I love this series. Each book was so good and the new one is out now but I haven't had a chance to get it. I think this one is still my favorite. I just loved it.
