Slow Burn by Julie Garwood

My apologies to Julie Garwood fans but this book doesn’t make me want to rush out and get another one of her books. Kate MacKenna has her own business, two sisters, a best friend and a one-night stand with one of the brothers of said best friend. Oh, and someone is trying to kill her. Why? Who? I guessed early on but that’s not why I didn’t like the book. Too many plot holes. The romance was fine but the mystery/suspense wasn't enough for me.

Come find my teammates and me at The DFWPlus Blog!

Okay, I found someone I

Okay, I found someone I know.  Penni, I see that you are blogging, do you know how this works with our teams?  Do we just blog and then it will get mixed or is there not really teams?

A very confused Cady

Blogging and teams and such

I think that with the BOOK blogs, we're all one big happy team. But I'm not sure. I know that Lorie and Jayne were trying to figure out how to do teams and they got so busy that they never got back to me. I figured it would all get taken care of one way or the other.

For the social blogs -- which I've been afraid to try yet -- I think (if they CAN set us up as teams) that we'll be teams there? And by social blogs I mean our comments about life or reading in general. Like the blog entry I have typed up about my goals for 2008.

I haven't really explored yet. We went live right before I had to fetch the kids. :) And now I need to do exciting things like put laundry away and cook dinner. Tell me again why I'm a SAHM?

Penn, impressed with the look but getting used to the new site!

Well, it is looking a bit

Well, it is looking a bit more clear to me.  At least I am understanding how this book thing seems to be going.  I think I am going to like the set-up.  The key for me will be to make sure I check out books that are unfamilar to me - keeps the TBR happy.  Smile  That would be great about the social blogs, otherwise it might be tough to keep up with each other.

Why you're a Seriously Attractive Housewife and Mother

Well Penni - if you don't know by now, how could we possibly convince you of our reasons for believing Surprised

Oh! I like Sadhbh's definition of SAHM!

And on the internet, so few of you know whether it applies to me or not! So, I'm going to say that it does!

Of course it does

I wouldn't say it otherwiseWink
