It's something about the last 10,000 words of a book that I just want to lock myself in the room, turn up the music and finish the darn thing already.
I'm at that point with my WIP. It's a novella. Only 30,000 words, but I'm getting the itch to call into work and spend all day tomorrow finishing. 1. Must pay the bills, which means no calling in. 2. Tomorrow we turn in time cards. I'd rather not miss it.
Back to me talking about how impatient I am. Most times I can see the last scenes clearly. They are as good as written, because I finally know these characters. But...I'm really going to make myself suffer this time. I have to have the first three chapters in on Monday. I'm going to revise the first three chapters using the knowledge I now have of the characters and tweak until my brain hurts. Let's not mention weed out all the typos I know I've made.
Will this book end already?
....back to the regular programming...

Mel...
Know what you mean! I feel that way about the book I'm FINALLY ready to send off to Supers. I swear, I'm tired of looking at it. And it took forever for me to finish the end. I'm a rabid pantster when I write, but I actually sat down and plotted the end (shuddering the whole time!), writing sysnopsis style so I could just FINISH. It helped. Thanks goodness. Cause I'm done. And I want to move ON.
You just have too many stories trying to escape at once, LOL!!

This line cracked me up. So true. I think that's why most writers are faith to their Significant Other 'cause we cheat on so many mss. Even while writing on this book I've been thinking about the one's to follow.
Sigh, it's an endless cycle.
