Hi all!!! Thanks for all the comments. I have barely been around here yet and already picked up 4 more books to be put on my TBB list. Two were thanks to Sadhbh's summary and two were just off reviews. And like I said, I haven't even really read much here at all. My TBR pile is now 10 piles on the floor and I really should just read those down but I also don't want to miss anything when it's available either. This could be a problem. Way to many books and no indication I am going to win the lottery and have lots of play time to read. Having never blogged before I have to say that this e-harlequin site is doing a great job of making things easy and accessable for everyone. I am still working on my previous reads and it has cut into my new reading time. But it is also nice to revisit some of the books I have before I get rid of them. Later all!!!! Happy reading.

so many books
This place has definitely had an impact on the fact that I have bought or acquired twice as many books as I've read. Maybe that's why the TBR shelf is 500+

Ha! I'd definitely love an unexpected windfall... more books and more time. A lovely (impossible) dream.
The great gift is the passion for reading. It is cheap [Hah! It most certainly is not!], it consoles, it distracts, it excites. It gives knowledge of the world and experience of a wide kind. It is moral illumination. ~ Elizabeth Hardwick
I don't think I could possibly get away with reading more books
even if I did win the lottery. My big idea if that happens soon would be to start up a company that would hire me to read all day, then maybe I'd want to do other things when I got home, and of course blogging would be part of the job, so I'd be able to do it peacefully at "work" with no interruptions
Wonder how many books I could read if I was being paid to do it seven hours a day

You'd get bored with it. It being a job would not be the same.

Books, Books , Books
Sadhdb has already read over 300 books this year. How many more books could she read? Who has read more than 300? I have read just 43. I just need to read more. I bought a lot of Harlequin Temptations (too scared to count them) I started boxing them up by book number to get them off my den floor. Did 500's, 600's and 700.s yestersday. Filled 3 big boxes. Next week I'll do 400's, 800's and 900's. And fill 3 more big boxes. Once I get them in order, I can start reading them I guess. I have enough books to read until I retire in 25 years! My problem is buy less - read more!

Sounds like your Bookaholic skills are in great shape!
I desperately need someone to subsidize my reading so I can quite working and read read read! .... though even if I didn't have commitments, I don't think I'd be able to read as many books as Sadhbh ..... I could read maybe 400 books in a year though
I wish I could read as many books that seem to come into my house!

Here's a horrible
Here's a horrible thought.... how crappy would it be to learn you're going blind and have a TBR pile of hundreds of books you might never be able to read?? I'd race my ass through reading all the books I could and start learning braille early. And check out a way of listening to audiobooks FASTER. :P
Going blind - Scary!!
What a scary thought, to go blind with your TBR pile just sitting there. And me reading the 'not quite sure about' books first, if I have any, so they don't sit on my floor for a few years (which has happened before). All the really good books would be left. YICK!!!!
