Solomon's Jar (Rogue Angel #2)
Book #2 of the Rogue Angel series finds Annja Creed high in the Peruvian mountains, searching for an ancient Jesuit manuscript. She ends up in Europe after reading rumours that King Solomon's jar of demons has been discovered. This book brings out some very interesting views of good and evil and where they come from. Is evil an external influence on beings or does it originate internally?
Annja battles her own decisions about using the sword, while also battling enemies and possible demons. She meets a woman in Jerusalem who becomes a sort of spiritual mentor to her, and tells Annja "You just always have to guard against the temptation to cross the line from defender of the innocent to attacker of the wicked". That haunts Annja in all the books, it seems.
Lots of action in this story, I'm really looking forward to #3 !!
