I recently had the chance to review Susan Wiggs Upcoming title Snowfall at Willow Lake. I'm still clueless how to get that picture into my book review, so wanted to see if I could get the cover into my blog.
I hope that everyone is getting more comfortable with our new home. At first I wasn't happy because I couldn't make paragraphs at home(I have a MAC at home) but last night I found out how...YAY me!
So now if I can load pictures(even if they're separate) from the review you could see the covers of what I've read. Wouldn't that be somewhat exciting? NO? Oh well...just trying to have some fun!

Thank you. I feel pretty good about mastering this little skill. I have a friend who is a member of the community and she can't get a picture posted yet, and I consider her much more computer literate than I...so I'm feeling pretty confident at the moment.

Looks great!
the only thing is size ........ when you post this as a book review, remember this will be the size that posts on the main book challenge blog ....... if you're using the little "tree" icon to insert your picture, you can specify the dimensions ..... if you go on the main challenge page and go near the very beginning you can see some of the book covers that were added and how large they are ..... maybe that's not what you want
just a thought ..... of course you can post any size .... on your own personal page the size you've posted is lovely and very attractive and I like it very much .... however, when that size posts on the Challenge page, it may seem to over power other posts
I'm going to be practicing some today too with pics and such ...... as they havent' sorted out the Team stuff yet, I thought I'd hold off with posting book reviews ..... hopefully I can pick up pointers from all you brave souls that are experimenting and finding the easiest and nicest way to post
Sandi .... good job on getting your cover! .... I hope you're having as much fun exploring the new site as I have been

Cover.
I'm trying to get the idea of posting a picture on the review. I know it needs to be smaller. I can't get it into my review! I'm feeling hopeless!

Sandi ......
what part are you having trouble with?
there's a little "tree" icon at the comment box .... that's the easiest way to post a pic ...... is that how you posted the pic on this blog entry?
if the cover is on the eHarl site, just right click on the picture ..... click on properties .... then "copy" the URL address ........ go to your book review ..... click on the "tree" icon ....... in the url address section "paste" the URL address you just copied ...... .... I can't remember the other fields, but I think you can select your alignment (where the pic is to appear) .... for borders, it's always good to put in a value ..... in practice on the test site I used 5 in each border field, this is the white space that appears between your picture and any text you may type to the left / right / below etc ...... you can also specify the size you want ..... in practice I was using 81 x 129 ..... that gave a nice size in my opinion .... of course you can go larger, I think the small size on the shopping pages is 123 x 185 or something like that
I hope that helps!

Sandi, it's always great when we achieve something like this. I used to think I was pretty computer literate... HAH! Ah well, live, do and learn... whaddya think of my new motto?

New motto
I think it's great. I have a friend(she doesn't post here) who can't do many computer things, and depends on her family to do them for her. I know I can't do many either, but I'm determined to try, and hopefully eventually succeed.
It took me two hours to get my IPOD to do what I wanted it to do. When if finally did I was screaming, and doing the snoopy dance. My family came home from being who knows where, and were like what are you doing. I tried to tell them about my success, and they're like should have asked we'd have done it for you in a couple of minutes. Well, maybe they would have, but I wouldn't have learned, and had the feeling of success!

Hello! That's a great idea- and what a pretty book cover. I'm going to possibly try to figure out how to do that to...
