Spring!

It seems to actually be here!  I went to Pamida this weekend and
could actually hear the frogs! (yeah, does that make sense? The store
is more in the country then I  ) lol, anyhow it was awesome.

Well, I did some catching up this weekend adding more reviews for Harlequin’s 100,000 Book Challenge
where if we reach that number read in a year (as a community) Harlequin
will donate to the National Center for Family Literacy. I go in spurts
for reading and posting my reviews but I like being a part of it. You
can join at any time and all books count. For some reason I’ve known
this all along but it wasn’t until this weekend that it really hit me —
why not have the kids post reviews for their books too? Uh, duh?  Sooo
they’re going to. They’re actually kind of excited. Too cool. I think
it will be neat!

Going in reverse here on the way home from our mini vacation we
stopped off at a park which houses some animals unable to return to the
wild for a variety of reasons.

Posing

It was cool out but sunny.

relaxing

And look what we spotted!!!

Butterfly

Yeah, okay so its almost impossible to see but there IS a butterfly
there! If fluttered right by us and landed there on the ground. I HAD
to take a picture! It’s SPRING!

Part of the reason we stopped at the park was things were getting
pretty boring in the car. Our youngest, 4, has been to the dentist a
lot lately if you recall and he decided to be a dentist to 12.

Open wide

Don't move

Just before we left we let the kids out on the balcony. Not that I’m
worried about the two oldest, though perhaps I should be considering
all the things suddenly popping to mind on which they might contemplate
as a fun thing to do, we’d originally said no way as we were on the
third floor and were concerned about the youngest doing something
dangerous. Of course this was a monumental moment.

Balcony

Now I just don’t get this. There are chairs and beds but where do my kids decide to camp out to watch television?

watching tv

Yeah, on the floor not a foot from the machine. And their reaction when I suggested they move to a more comfortable place?

Goofy

Goofy kids!

Tomorrow I’ll finish off the pictures from our trip. Have a good one!
