I hadn't read anything by British author Jill Mansell, but a week or so ago I heard her talk at my local library (she's on a book tour). It sounded like she wrote the kind of book I like to read - funny, romantic, not too much sex! - so I borrowed this book from the library while I was there (I also bought one of her books at the signing after the talk).
This is the story of country-house hotelier Daisy MacLean, who has enough problems with family and friends to provide plenty of story action. The hero, Dev, is verrry yummy.
The book has not one, but three secondary romances (or should I say a secondary romance and a tertiary romance and a ????), and anyone who's read my books will know what a sucker I am for secondary romances.
I recommend giving Jill Mansell's books a try if you haven't already. I'm looking forward to the book I bought of hers, which is called Good at Games. I have a couple of others to read first, though...
