This is the sixth book set in Lakeview, Virginia.
Chloe Davidson had been in a car "accident" which had left her friend dead and Chloe badly burned and one leg badly damaged (it had to practically be rebuilt and pinned together). After her recovery things began to suggest someone was stalking her and making attempts to kill her.
She finally fled to Lakeview, VA where she had spent summers as a child. She thought she would be safe there but it appeared her stalker had followed her because she was sure someone was lurking in the dark and she became afraid to be outside after dark. She began to have problems -- things were going missing from her apartment, strange pictures were showing up on her camera, and she began to get "presents" which would appear in her apartment and someone was tampering with her food. She met Ben Avery who was the pastor of Grace Christian Church. He believed someone was after her and so did Sheriff Sam Riley even though the DC police believed she was suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome. They began searching for her stalker.
I really enjoyed this book. If you like mysteries this is a good one.
