Stranger in a Small Town (HSR-Dec-07)

This is Margaret Watson's last book in a series but it stands alone real well . I really like series but I hate it when I have to try and find the other books especially when they are not published close together. This stand alone book is a part crime and part love story.

Dr. Kat Macauley contacts Seth Harper because she wants him to sign papers so she can adopt her dead friend's daughter. Seth was named as the father of Reagan on her birth certificate but he did not know about Reagan until he got the lawyer's letter. The town where Kat and Reagan live has had a lot of counterfeit bills show up there. Seth , a secret agent , decides to combine looking for the crooks with a need to see if Reagan is really his daughter. One of the prime suspects may work at Kat's office as quite a few counterfeit bills have shown up in her deposits to the bank. After Seth meets Kat,  he finds it hard to keep his mind on finding the crooks and quickly hopeshis suspicions are wrong.

When I get a little money I buy books, and then if any is left I buy food and clothes..-- Erasmus
