Strangers is the newest JD Robb/Eve Dallas Mystery. In this story, Thomas Anders is found dead in a way that seems to scream accidental death, but is quickly found to be a homicide. However, the two people that have the most to gain have solid alibis and the vic seems to be a genuinely good guy. Who did it and why. I really enjoyed this story - totally knew the who and how, way before, but it could be because I knew the reference in both the title and the book. Loved that it wasn't another serial killer, but instead was really more of a murder mystery - reminds me a lot of Witness in Death. Great old movie feel. Highly recommend, another excellent installment in the Robb series.

I bought the first three "In Deaths" last week because I have read so many "sighs" devoted to this character.
I am eager but hesitant to start this series. So many people love it, but at the same time there are so many more books I will be buying.

I'm glad that this was another good one. I loved Witness In Death. I loved that Eve and Roarke went to that play and everything about that book. I'm glad that this one had a similar feel.
Jillyan, You will love this series. Don't wait! The books get better as you come to love the characters.

Margie - I will be interested to know people's feelings on this one. There is also a nice subplot about another couple that is interesting. I love how she does that.
Jillyan - I highlly recommend the whole series. To me, they get better as Eve grows, so truthfully the first one is not my favorite, but I love all of them. I am thinking of listening to the batch on audio.

I have done that
I first read all the books that were out. Then a couple of years ago I started listening to them on Audio. They are very good to listen to. Susan Erickkson does the different voices really well even Roarke's. So now I have the complete set in mostly hardback and all the audios too. By the way I'm on Chapter Five in the book, picked it up on my way home from work last evening.

I bought this book yesterday. Just have to finish the Allison Brennan book I'm currently in the middle of. I'm so glad this book is another good one, though I'm not surprised!
Jillyan~ I hope you love the series. I will say the first book took me a little to get inito but each book gets better and better. The characters grow on you like no others. You'll fall in love and wait impatiently for the next book to get more of your favorite people! Luckily, if you're just starting out, it'll be awhile before you're caught up and have to wait with the rest of us. lol

Tracey - I am with you, book 1 was a bit more intense than I was use to with Nora, so I think that combined with Eve's lack of real friends, limited my enjoyment. I love them all now.

I just passed the story where the subplot you mentioned comes in and it gave me a few tense moments when I realized where this could go. Gotta get back to reading getting so interesting now it's coming down to the finish.

First let me say, I wish we had the white font, but yeah, I had some ideas, but loved the way she dealt with the subplot. Makes upcoming books fun to see how she continues to deal with it.
