I've had Stray in my to-be-read pile for awhile now. So after a glowing recommendation from Angela, I decided it was time to pick it up (I've also been on a bit of a paranormal/fantasy binge, so this book fit right in).
I'll be honest, when I first heard about the concept of this book, I was sceptical. Werecats? Really? Ohhhkayyyyy.
Well, I was 100% won over. I absolutely loved being introduced to a whole new mythology. Vincent's writing was fast-past and contemporary (without being pop-culture cliche). In tone and pacing, this book reminded me very much of the Blood Ties series, which I also loved.
I thought the sexual tension between Faythe and her leading men felt genuine, and not at all forced. I did, however, hate the spelling of her name. What's wrong with plain old "Faith"? But I got over it ;)
Angela mentioned that sometimes the plot was forced forward due to Faythe doing stupid things, and I see her point - but I also think that was part of Faythe's character....she is young and headstrong, and sometimes did stupid things!
I highly recommend this book - and can't wait for the next in the series (Rogue) which comes out very soon!
Stray is still available on eHarlequin.com:

HI
I had this book and lost it and repurchased it. It is in THE PILE but closer to the top than many others. The Challenger readers last year raved about it - that is why I bought it again.
