Paranormal romances. Ok. The one by Banks made me unhappy and sob like a baby because the heroine died and could only see the hero once a year (no happy ending).

I need my HEA. If I
I need my HEA. If I wanted ambiguous endings that didn't give me closure... well... there's a good reason to stick to category romances!
And I suppose it was "Happily Ever Eventually" because eventually the heroine was going to turn the hero into a vamp too, and then he would give up his life to be with her. But DAMN I was CRYING and I hate crying during romances! It wasn't even a "oh at least they are happy in the end" kind of cry. BOO URNS.
HEA
If I'm reading a category book, I expect the HEA but since I tend to gravitate towards more urban fantasy/suspense thrillers, I don't have to have the HEAs. But I know what you mean about expectations.... nothing makes me angrier than when I want a HEA and don't get it.
