So, I was reading some time ago a book by the name The Spanish Groom by Lynn Graham...and it's actually one of my favourite books...I love it when the male character progresses throughout the book, how, in the beginning, you're sitting there cursing him for being so cruel, but by the end you find yourself ooh-ing and aah-ing over him...at least I did 
...
I just had to say I love it when a guy will change -- become softer -- for the gal he loves!
