Gwenna Carrick is a vampire. Her brother is President of the Vampire Nation and he owns a casino in Vegas. Gwenna has left Europe and is now living in his hotel. She has been very sheltered all her life but Gwenna wants to change that. She is ready to finally let go of a lot of hurt from the past and the love/hate relationship with her ex of 300 years. Gwenna loves her computer and she has become involved with an online group of vampire slayers. Gwenna is certain that one of them is a killer and she is determined to find out what is going on. So, pretending that she is human, she agrees to meet Slash in real life. Only she finds a dead vampire and meets sexy Detective Nate Thomas. Nate can't help but be attracted to her even if she is a suspect. And Gwenna is falling in love with a human. How can she tell him the truth about herself?
This is more of a light vampire read. Kind of like Undead and Unwed by Mary Janice Davidson. It is part of a series and even though I haven't read the others. It does leave some issues for a future book to deal with but the main story is delt with. I really enjoyed watching Gwenna gain more faith in herself. She was born in a different time and has been sheltered most of her life so she had a lot of growing to do. But she did it. I loved Nate. He was yummy. This book makes me want to read the others in the series. I always enjoy Erin's books and I loved this one.

This is actually my favorite book in the series. I enjoyed the other books but this was the one I enjoyed the most. Glad you enjoyed it as well!
