This takes place on the Lonely cold continent of Antartic in a place called Kandahar Station. That consisted of two huts for 10 people and a tour that lasted during the daylight time of November to April. Alice goes there to do geological exploration for her famous mother who was there and made films of Lepard seals years before. The Geological fossil survey is done with cold below zero weather and often high winds . One other station exists 120 miles away . One member a lady checks the penguin rookery with some of the 10 million penguins doing blood tests for heavy metal and toxic elements. They enjoy the atmosphere of the lonely Antartic during the all daylight season.
