My Family is over here today and I'm just chillin out with a book, Caitlian's cowboy by Barbara McMahon,I've been meaning to dive into it at some point during the weekend sometime. How long have you guys been reading romance books and what was the first one you ever read? What are you guys favorite series and how often do you read? Sorry for all the random questions lol,I just want to get to know evreybody here if that's cool. Don't worry, even though I'm in my situation,I'm finding time for myself whenever I can. But reading is a good escape. I have a friend who reads 5 romance books a week!

PS My name on here is Jenal.but ya'll can call me candace.

Where do you all usually buy your books? Online or in the store or do you get them from the library? My Library has a used book sale, fill up a bag of books for $1,and there's alot of Sillouette and those kinds of books, and since they're so small you can get a bunch. I think evrey library should do that. Well ladies,I'm going to go out in the sun and relax and start my book!

Hugs to all of you and have a blessed and fantastic week!!

Happy reading Ladies!! xoxox

Sunday

just chillin today. Going through some blogs on here and there. Reading an ebook Another Man's Wife by Denyse Bridger and in print The Baby and the Cowboy by Janice Kaiser. Did a bunch of baking yesterday, 2 loaves chocolate zucchine bread, 2 carrot-raisin loave, 1 carrot bread, marinated carrots, peach/cherry tarts, so today is a relaxing day.

I can't even remember when I started or who or what, but I'm thinking maybe Jackie Collins. I also remember when I was younger one of my teen idols was Matt Dillon so really liked the S.E Hinton books.

It's hard to pick a favourite series but I do subscribe to Desire and as soon as they come in I drop all other books to read those 6, so I guess the Desires are a favouriteWink. How often do I read- Every chance I get. Never without a book. Always make sure there is one in the purse.

Since I don't get out much I tend to buy a lot of books online here because you don't need a credit card. Sometimes I will pick up books at Goodwill or Value Village. If budget allows I will get my books at a brick and mortar store

Re: Sunday

Sunday is a day to take it easy.

I started reading Harlequin (it was Mills & Boon then) some 36 years ago. I believe Charlotte Lamb was one of the first authors I read.  I love romance story with happy ending, but I prefer short story, so HQ is my favourite.

The series I like are: H-Presents, H-Romance & H-Medical, a few others here & there.  I mainly buy Kindle books (ebooks), occasionally printed books.

This has been a busy Sunday

This has been a busy Sunday for me with family and friends. I have found myself in a bit of a reading slump this month. But book subscriptions that I get are H Romance, H American Romances, H Medical Romances, and Silhouette Desires.

It's thundering and lighting right now

but it still hasn't cooled down. My husband and I went for a short walk this morning before it got too hot. Then we watered our garden when we got home and discovered lots of ripe tomatoes. It's been so hot the past few days that I haven't been checking for them.  What a wonderful surprise.

I started reading romances so long ago that I can't remember the first one. My mom used to take them out from our small town library and only Harlequin Romances were available at that time. I couldn't take them out as I wasn't old enough to---they were deemed adult only reads. After my mom had read a few and caught me reading one she just let me read them.

I read Superromance, American, Silhouette Special Edition and Harlequinn romance mainly .I do read a lot of Presents and Mira as well with the odd Intrigue, SRS, and Blaze thrown into the mix. Since I started this challenge I have read Medicals, NEXT, NASCAR.and Love Inspired. I have quite a few authors whose books I buy and keep. I like to read from a variety of lines as it keeps the books fresh.

When I get a little money I buy books, and then if any is left I buy food and clothes..-- Erasmus
