Taken by Lori Harris

This was a fast paced read about one woman's race to rescue her sister from the kidnappers who had taken them both after they got lost on their way from Ohio to South Carolina.

Jillian is a great heroine with equal amounts of incredible strength, in having to leave her sister behind during her escape, and vulnerability, in second-guessing that decision. That vulnerability leads her to lean on Rick, a former cop who has his own reasons for wanting to capture the kidnappers.

What first drew me to this book was the idea that one wrong turn could lead to a life or death situation. The excerpt posted on eharlequin really dragged me into the story and I had to find out what happened to Jillian and her sister. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story and would definitely recommend it.
