Tanner’s Scheme by Lora Leigh (Berkley)

Guilty reading pleasure time! I just can't keep away from Lora Leigh's books and this time it definitely was worth it.

The story: Scheme Tallant's father is responsible for the torture and death of many a Breed. When he suspects his daughter of spying for the Breeds he orders her killed. Tanner Reynolds wants to destroy Scheme's father and not knowing of her work for the Breeds he kidnaps Scheme to use her for his revenge plans. When he discovers that her life is in danger he discovers that he wants much more from her than her secrets and hours spend in bed. He wants to claim her as his mate.

I didn't care that much for Megan's Mark and Hamony's Way, but Tanner's Scheme reminded me of why I keep reading Lora Leighs books. Likable characters, sizzling sex (lots of it!), gripping suspense and relentless action. It is not her best book, but it is lots of fun to read.
