This humorous Christian suspense novel follows violin-playing heroine Jazzy Delaney (don’t call her a fiddle player) to rural Kentucky, where a wedding gig turns grim after she finds a body in her hotel room. The victim, a local DJ, has posthumously been covered in barbecue sauce.
This chilling detail starts local theories swirling, as his death coincides with the town’s annual barbecue festival. Horrified, Jazzy and her two fellow musicians consider hightailing it back to the city, but decide to honor their commitment to the bride and groom. Jazzy has also taken a shine to the bride’s hunky brother, Derrick Rogers, providing additional motivation to stick it out—though clean-freak Jazzy thinks twice after meeting Derrick's slobbery dog.
It’s nice to read an inspirational romance with well-rounded, quirky characters and genuinely funny scenes. Fast-paced and full of plot twists. Coming October 2008.
