A Taste of Temptation (2006) by Carrie Alexander (HBZ #296)

Gossip columnist Zoe Aberdeen stumbles on a supposed lust potion that her work pals are sure is working for them. She just happens to live next door to a crime scientist, Donovan Shane, who could analyze the mixture for her. Donovan has been watching Zoe for a while and Zoe now seems to be noticing her neighbor. When Zoe goes to the storefront she bought said potion she ends up encountering a bit of a mystery. She and Donovan end up involved in the mystery and we end up with a conclusion, some action, and another suspicion about the true origins of the potion.

I did enjoy this book and the added action toward the end was nice but unexpected. You will have to judge for yourself what, after hearing the whole story, you end up believing about the veracity of the claims of the original potion.  Smile

This was the third of three linked stories

Have you read the other two, what did you think?

What??

Oh no, Sadhbh.  I had no idea that was one of three.  I don't believe I read any of the others though.Surprised

It's been a while (and there've been more than a thousand

books under the "bridge" since then Wink) but I seem to remember the others in the series were

A Whisper of Wanting - JAMIE SOBRATO (Blaze #284)
A Scent of Seduction by Colleen Collins (Blaze #286)

Hopefully someone will correct me if I got it wrong

# on a series

I really wish they would say right on the book that it is # of so many, or  # of so-and-so series.
