The last installment of Peggy Moreland’s A Piece of Texas series concludes with all pieces of the long lost deed accounted for. A memorial to these brave men who formed a bond with each other while fighting for their country.
The final piece had been in the possession of the adoptive parents of Ali Moran, the twin of Jase Calhoun, who had no clue her adoptive parents were keeping information on her adoption from her, nor did she know that her adoptive parents had told her birth parents that she wanted nothing to do with them.
It was with this information that Garrett Miller took it upon himself to check out his step mother’s daughter. After arranging to stay in her bed and breakfast and getting to know Ali, Garrett saw where most of the information his family had received was incorrect. As the two grow closer and left Austin for the ranch in San Saba for safety reasons, it became clear to Garrett that he need to come clear with his information as well, but never sensing the right time he never spoke a word.
When the truth is revealed to Ali, she is hurt and returns to a friend’s home in Austin, but not before meeting her twin, Jase.
Will Ali agree to meet the parents she always wanted? Can she forgive Garrett for his deception? Check out this installment and find out?
