Once burned, twice shy Laura is afraid of getting married again, but handsome ex-soldier, now rancher Gabriel has fallen for her children. Gabe is the commitment-phobe son of Josiah who has stepped in to care for the young widow and her children. Josiah has lured is sons home and Gabriel is very leery of the whole set up.
This is the first book of four in a miniseries. I look forward to reading more about the brothers, Peter, Dane, and Jake. Not the fastest paced book, or the most compelling, but it is an enjoyable read.
