Olivia and Jack are both archeologists who are married but have been separated for two years. They will be working together on an important dig on the very same Greek island where they first met and fell in love. Olivia has mixed feelings about spending the summer with Jack, but Jack sees it as his last chance to win back his wife.
From reading the back of the book, you can't tell that the characters are archeologists and one would assume that they chose to take a vacation together to the Greek island to give their marriage on last chance. It was a pleasent surprise to find out otherwise though, because once upon a time, I wanted to grow up and be an archeologist. It was great that the author added several historical references. That aside, I prefer to read about characters that are already in a relationship and I love island settings, so I am very happy that I picked up this book.
