Third Sight by Suzanne McMinn

*****EDITED!!!! First, I apologize to Suzanne for my big whoops in posting the incorrect blurb... not sure what happened there. Second, my wording here is not clear and I apologize for that as well... guess I was getting tired when I wrote this one. =) I AM POSTING EACH OF MY REVIEWS SEPERATLY SO THAT THEY WILL COUNT, JUST SEVERAL IN ONE DAY. Just like I did today, 5 - 6 in one day. And yes I know tons of people do that all of the time but for me this was a big decision because I really liked giving a book I liked all the attention of a whole day to themselves. *shrug* But I'm reading too many books. So I decided finally I HAD to post several books in one day---in different posts though so they count! Just like I did today. I am so sorry for not saying that correctly before. Just call me a goof-brain. Tongue out  My only excuse is that I stayed up late last night to finish reading Suzanne's book and must have been more tired than I realized.Smile

****Note — I’ve decided to handle my ‘book
reviews’ for Harlequin’s challenge a bit differently. I know I could
keep my posting of them all to the Harlequin sight and tell you to zip
on over there, but the truth is, I won’t review publicly a book I
totally didn’t like. I figure someone did, the author spent a lot of
time writing it and I have no reason to cut on them for their voice or
whatnot not totally making my day. Maybe their next book will.
*shrug* Middle of the ground books or books by authors I know I’ll
read more of, I will post about.

That all having been said, I LOVE to share
books I’ve read that I couldn’t put down. I want the world to know
about these because I enjoyed reading them so much.
So I’ve
decided I am going to continue to post the reviews here as well. I’m
just going to do a bunch at a time to save me time. Usually 4-5
books. I actually thought this would be great for everyone as having
nothing but day after day of reviews can get kind of boring–well to me
anyhow. Thus I figured it might to you too. This way on the day I
pick for reviews, you can actually skim through several all at once and
know that the rest of the week is going to be ‘other stuff’.

So Remember — I’m posting them all at once
yes, but I’m taking the time to post about them because I WANT tell you
about the books I think you might like too.

BLURB:

They'd saved his life, but at what cost?

When an accident left him near death, the PAX League saved Riley Tremaine's life...by transforming him into a terrorism-fighting superagent with a special gift for sight. To protect the future, Riley cut all ties with his past -- and said goodbye to the woman he loved, anthropologist Nina Phillips.

A year later, when Nina called him in distress, the secret that destroyed their relationship could be the only thing to save her from the frightening plot of a madman. In a race to recover a missing artifact, Riley and Nina would have to believe the unbelievable and trust in a love they'd thought lost forever -- or the world would pay the ultimate price.

FORMAT: eBook bundle

REVIEW:

Second book in Suzanne’s PAX series and just as action packed,
sensual and honest in the way the people deal with their emotions and
the issues before them as the first book. I loved this book! I stayed
up late last night to finish reading it.

Yep, a short and sweet review, but to the point. Cool I’ve already started the third book!

hi

The bad part of this issue is that if you put all titles on one review only one gets counted.  The whole idea is to make the 100K goal and we need them listed individually.  If you don't have anything you want to say about a book you can list the title and author and write NFM in the comment field - No Further Mention.  This way you can get the book counted and not dis the author.

Personally I like reading the reviews both the pros and cons.  If you didn't like a book you could say it didn't work for you which is neither positive or negative against the author.  The point of the challenge is two fold.... reviews for those who like to read them (makes us buy more books sometimes in areas we would never have bought before) and count so a donation can be made at the end of the challenge.

BTW - I liked your review and have added this author/series to my TBFOUND LIST.

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!

Third Sight blurb

For you guys who might want to read this.  Here is the blurb for the book Third Sight.  The one posted on here is wrong. It is the blurb for Suzanne McMinn's A Hero's Redemption, SRS # 1485.  Hope this helps,

Leanne

Here's the one for Third Sight.

I loved this series. This one was really good.

I agree with Jeannie. Maybe you could just do book title, author, etc. so it is counted in the challenge.

Margie :)

Jeannie

Jeannie - Sorry, I must not have been clear.  I'm well aware of the count thing, so I posted each of the reviews seperately.  I just meant I was altering how I used to do it... I used to only make one post a day.  That way that book was highlighted the most.  But when one reads enough... that is then all I'd be posting and I like to gab Kiss, and wanted to post about other things.

So I decided to take one day a week(I'm not picking a certain one, just when I have 5-6 reviews ready) my review day.  And on that day I will have 5-6 posts, all individual... like you see here today.  That way they all count towards our end goal.

Sorry I wasn't clear on that.  Smile

Hi Margie--

Hi Margie --

I guess I must have been getting brain tired by the time I wrote this post! I am posting each book in its own posting so that it gets counted, just like I did today.

See I didn't used to and yes, I know lots of people do post several books in one day.  I just didn't because I liked to highlight that one author.  So I guess I didn't need to really say anything to anyone, but it was a big deal to me to actually post six book posts in one day.  Embarassed  Sorry for confusing everyone.

Nicole

That is kind of funny. We all got concerned about the challenge.

I keep saying that I will post a book review as I read them but it never happens. I just want to get into the next book. It is not like I am not on the site because I am. I'm making comments and replying but just not posting that book review. Then I get five or six books behind when I start to panic that I won't remember well enough to review. So there I am at midnight doing all my reviews. LOL But at least they get done.

Margie :)

Funny, eh? I say embarrassing!

Funny, eh?  I say embarrassing!  Embarassed  I am glad you are laughing though Margie.  Smile  I can't believe I screwed up on the wording of that(I've read over it and sure enough... it definitely says I'm posting once Tongue out) And I really can't believe I posted the wrong blurb!!!!  I think my mind was already thinking about the next story and thus impatient to get done writing reviews! And I know what you mean about posting.  They pile up fast!

"They pile up fast"

Talk to me about it - I have a 12 or 13 book backlog (and that's just from this weekend Surprised) - I can't afford to let a week go by or it would take me a day to catch up

Things
are going a lot better this year, now that I'm using post-its in the
books - I jot down a quick blurb and immediate impressions just as I
finish the book (I have pens and postits everywhere - handbag, car,
beside bed, beside computer, so no excuse, tear it off, paste it in
front page of book) put book in pile until I'm ready to type it in on
the computer and things are so much easier

Now all I have to do is find a quiet moment to type them up and copy and paste in here

ALL Undecided

Hugs
