Wow, did I miss out by not reading Tanya Michaels’ books. If they are all as wonderful as Trouble in Tennessee I will have found another auto-buy author.
The story: When Treble James gets asked by her sister to help her through a difficult pregnancy, the town’s former bad girl, who is now a radio DJ in Atlanta, is none too happy to return to Joyous, Tennessee and to face her past, especially her judgemental father. But then she meets the small town’s doctor and friend of her family. Keith Caldwell is looking for a nice local girl to marry and settle down with. He’s not prepared for Treble. First he fears for his friends’ well-being than he fears for his heart.
Tanya Michaels has delivered with Trouble in Tennessee a heart-warming, charming and playful romance story. Her characters are full of life, lovable, and very easy to identify with. The first sweet than scorching attraction, as well as the well-drawn secondary characters make this novel a perfect read and it will be a real pleasure to return to the charmingly portrayed small town life of Joyous, Tennessee with Tanya Michaels’ 2008 release An Unlikely Mommy.
Series: First book in the Joyous, Tennessee series
Rating: Keeper

I was looking at the March books and was hoping that her next book was another stop in Joyous, I can't wait to read it.

Joyous
Hi Cady,
I'm hoping that An Unlikely Mommy will be set in Joyous. It could be Ronnie's story. Isn't she in love with Jason? And isn't Jason a single parent?
I just looked at the blurb
I just looked at the blurb from the Feb book last night, it was about a mechanic - I think her name was Ronnie, so I think you are right about the characters.

good news :-)
Thanks for looking it up!

Is Trouble in Tennessee the first book of the In the Family series? Sounded like a good book. I have a bad habit of jumping into a series and then having to backtrack.

I didn't realize it was a series, but I am pretty sure it was the first book. I don't know if TM had written any HARs before TiT. I know that it didn't feel like there were any connectors.

In The Family
Trouble In Tennessee is part of the multi-authored In The Family series. It is also the first book in Michaels' own Joyous series. Here is what I found out about the other books in the In The Family series:
Too Many Brothers (2004) by Roz Denny Fox
Heard It Through the Grapevine (2004) by Pamela Browning
Table for Five (2005) by Kaitlyn Rice
Trouble in Tennessee (2007) by Tanya Michaels
Hmm, I didn't realize it
Hmm, I didn't realize it was connected to other books, did it say how?

I found the list online and looked at some of the covers. They have the In The Family logo, but how they connect I don't know. Sadly, I don't know where else to look or who else to ask. Sorry!

No need to be sorry. I appreciate the efforts. I might give the book a try since it doesn't feel like there are any old connectors. And I'd still have the Joyous series to look forward to. Thanks.

I will try and check on the HAR board and see if any of them are aware of what the connection was on the In the Family Series, but probably not until tomorrow as I should be getting dinner ready soon.

Oh, this one sounds good!
I normally don't read the American Romance line because I run out of book budget before I run out of wish list
but I think I'm gonna have to find room for this one. Thanks for the recommendation.

I checked on the series
I checked on the series thing and it looks like the name In the Family is just one of those series grabbers, like in Presents they have Revenge or Bedded for Blackmail or I don't know. In HAR, they have this and Fatherhood and a couple of others, but there is no connection between the books.

Thanks for checking!
I'm kinda glad, as it means I don't have to look for older books and concentrate on new releases. :-)
