True North

How does a woman recover when her betrothed takes another woman on what should
have been their vacation getaway? By finding a better man of course.

True North kept me entertained from page one to the end with believable characters who had depth and a plausible story line. Though I might not have taken the rude brush off from a fiancée quite so well as our heroine.

I really liked the way Beverly illustrated the undercurrents in the relationships of the secondary characters and how they related to the relationship dynamics of our romantic couple. She also added a bit of a mystery to the story that didn't overpower the romantic relationship.

Claire Brown has created an overworked lifestyle to compensate for the things her life is missing. On the go and successful, buying her fiancée a romantic vacation for two as a birthday gift, so they could have some time to repair the strains in their relationship.

John McBride owner of a lodge that caters to comfort, finds himself unable
to refuse quarters to a guest who has just been jilted. Unfortunately, he'd rather she just took her cell phone and laptop back home. John"s already had his fill of ired of women who place career and money ahead of what he values.

Love is a conscious choice we make,
not the feelings that cause us to tingle and shake.
Romance begins as a state of mind,
and is expressed in the efforts to care and be kind.
