Part of "The Elliotts" series. This is the story of Bryan Elliott, the only Elliott NOT involved in the publishing companies. The reason he's not involved? He's secretly been working as a spy! His restaurant business is only a cover, which he enjoys in his spare time. Bryan's been working with Lucy, a pretty and conservative bank worker, who accidentally stumbled on embezzlement and terrorists. When someone finds out that Lucy has been working with Bryan and The Feds, Lucy's life is in danger. Bryan pulls her out of danger, and hides her away at his personal home because he suspects the leak about Lucy came from within his organization. Not able to trust anyone, they pretend Lucy is Bryan's girlfriend while they work together to get to the bottom of the puzzles.
They are attracted to each other from the start, but he's hesitant to give in because Lucy's in a vulnerable position and might regret it later. Lucy won't let him say no though, and has her naughty way with him. Yummy passion, with just the right amount of sponteneity and caring. There was a lot of humour in this book, that just made me smile and laugh out loud. These were two people who really cared about each other, and the author did a really good job showing us that through dialogue and insights into their heads.
Rating: 5/5 stars, I'm going to re-read this sometime, it was really good!

I've read about six or seven of the 12 Elliott books. About three or four of the remaining ones don't appeal to me (ugh, Daniel and Amanda's story is so sad... I hate hate hate big separations! Wasted years!)
Under Deepest Cover was my FAVOURITE of The Elliotts books I read, I really loved it. It was light, sexy, funny, charming, casual but intense. Mmmmm! I really liked the hero and heroine, they weren't boring people that's for sure. Yummy book.
