This book is a sequel to "Trouble in Tennessee" (American #1170). Ronnie Carter grew up in a family of three overbearing brothers and her father. She is the only female mechanic in Joyous, Tennessee. Since she lost her mother when she was very young she never learned to cook, doesn't own a dress and doesn't want to be a mother -- ever! She dates rarely because her brothers always give the date the fourth degree. Jason McDeere is a high school teacher with a toddler, Emily, who wants a mother and has decided Ronnie is the perfect choice. Jason doesn't think she is what he wants either as a wife or as Emily's mother since she is very much a tomboy. As he gets to know her and sees how Emily and Ronnie interact he begins to change his mind. It takes until the end of the book and a lot of thought before Ronnie changes her mind. I would reccommend this book.
