This was a really great book! I can see why it would be a finalist for RITA! The premise was unique and fit very well with the storyline and execution. I also thought the language and imagery were top notch! The tension was great, and the characters managed to seem very real, even though one of them was a former superhero, LOL!
This book was so good, I thought it could have been longer, and I don't often feel that way. It was just one of those great stories that has so much going on, that you just think, aw, is it over already?
BTW, I don't get the "extreme" thing. I wasn't sure how this was categorically different from other Blazes I've read. Perhaps I'm just thick-headed...maybe they just meant "extremely good"?!

Hey Olivia!
Thanks so much! What a boost to read your review. :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the book. :)
Extreme, like Blush, Forbidden Fantasy, Adrenaline Rush, etc are sublines within Blaze that often are difficult to characterize (as we've discussed on other threads), but with Extreme, you tend to find plots or characters that you wouldn't find in the normal mainline of Blaze -- so, Crystal Green had a vampire, Julie Leto had an asassin, I had a superhero, and Cara Summer's current Extreme is a time-travel/Jack the Ripper story... I think it's those somewhat unique elements that make them "extreme."
