Updated!

Well, I spent the last couple of days working on computer stuff. Blah!
The kids got a ‘used/new’ computer from their grandfather. Excited
isn’t a strong enough description for the energy in the house when it
arrived. And it was exciting. Except its one of those computers put
together by someone and thus compatibility with things is an issue.
I’ve spent days… yes, days! Getting everything to work. Currently… its
close. They’ve stolen my speakers for the moment(I really didn’t need
to listen to anything anyhow) and
I screwed up when ordering the updated graphics card. Well, I didn’t
completely screw up but I had several games we were trying to make sure
we were compatible with. Of course wouldn’t you know it, after
installing all the games one says its ‘not happy but will make due’ —its exact words
. I want to call up the company and tell them what to do with that
suggestion! The stupid box lists the card I have! If you didn’t want
that one, don’t list it!

But I degres. Its been one thing after another from software issues
to hardware. This is one of the reasons I love Dell. I’ve had one for 6
years now and the only issue that I’ve really had, they stayed with me
until it was fixed… ended up replacing the drive. But for everything,
set up you name it, they’ve been really easy to work with. Including me
calling and asking a hundred and one questions on components for this
new odd computer which has absolutely nothing to do with them. And most
importantly, everything is compatible! I can download a messenger, like
Windows live and know it will work. I can add Adobe and know it will
work. I can add… hmmm, here I go again… rambling on about nothing which I wanted to write about!

What I wanted to say was, I’m finally and truly computer ’sick’.

The thing was since I’m working on computer stuff, you know
downloading this, waiting an hour while clicking on ‘next’ and so
forth(boring but necessary), I worked on my own computer stuff. Not
writing, though I did write a bit each day to stay with it but you see
it uses a different portion of my brain and to switch back and forth
between tech brain and creative brain is not easy… excruciating to be
truthful. I’ve just learned that once in one mode, finish it out. Need
to do tech stuff? Stay there until its finished. Creativity is non
existent. And once I’m in creative mode, don’t even talk to me of tech
stuff, I won’t have a clue what you’re talking about. The point though is, I just decided to finish the site clean ups I’d begun a couple of months ago. And I did this across the board. With ALL my registrations; from Myspace, to Facebook(which I really don’t get.. it seems to be just a play area, confusing to me beyond words), to a number of the groups that I belong to which have profile pages, like Historical Fiction Books and Harlequin’s Community. EVERYTHING has been updated and is the way it is going to stay for… eternity if I have my way. I’m truly and completely computer ’sick’! I think I might even just write on paper for the next week.

Ahhh, just thinking about that seems like bliss .

So if you’re bored and want to cruise on around the net for a bit, check out my updated.
I thought about listing them here but… my brain is already beginning to
switch on over to creative… so why don’t you just check out my Visitor’s Hub where I have them all listed already.

Whoops,
I guess there is one more I do want to mention mainly because its my
kids putting this together. We have as a family created an online shop.
eMysterious.com

It’s a work in progress(mostly because MOM is learning how to work
things), but the sayings on the shirts and picture choices are the
kid’s. Granted I need to enlarge the picture choices, a task I’ve
already started. Each weekend more of their creations will be upload.
Its been fun and a neat way to teach them about commerce. If you visit
any of the links, this is the one I’d love to have you stop by for
sure. There isn’t much there, but its a start and if you were to leave a comment HERE saying you’d stopped by, they’d be so tickled!

Okay I’ve rambled enough! Take care everyone!
