VALENTINE'S SECRET CHILD by Christine Rimmer Feb 08

What happens when the boy you love issues an ultimatum, choose your family or choose me?  Can young lovers find their way back to one another after ten years, especially when there is now a 9 year old child in the picture?

After changing his name from Michael to Mitch almost a decade ago and disappearing form Kelly’s life, does Mitch have the right to make demands of Kelly now that he has accepted his daughter?  Mitch is not your typical Christine Rimmer hero, I wanted to slap him a couple of times, especially after hurting Kelly a second time, but he did have a strong love for his daughter. Kelly is a brave lady, accepting Mitch into her household and trying to keep everything together once Mitch disappoints her for the second time.

It took a while for the two, especially Mitch, to find forgiveness, not only from Kelly, but from himself as well, as their story is just that, a story of how hard it is to forgive oneself when you know you’re in the wrong.

I enjoyed meeting Crystal and look forward to see if she is the one for Tanner.  So, keep those Bravos coming!!!

I really love your review Kate!

I read this book not too long ago, actually in February, and thought the same as you did regarding the forgiveness angle... you did a MUCH better job with the review however.  Smile

Thanks

Thanks for the kind words.  I appreciate it.  Sometimes I have to look beyond the surface delve deeper to really get a sense of a book, instead of just wanted to slap the hero for being stupid...
