Have you read the previous two in this Trilogy?
I love Kristin Hardy ....she does her research on her subject matter ...... she has maple sugaring down perfectly!
I read this when it was released .... and the story struck so true, as I too was experiencing the first anniversary of my own father's death ...... that year of "firsts" was expressed so well ..... Jacob's first sugaring without his Dad was very well done
