Vows & A Vengeful Groom by Bronwyn Jameson

Book cover

This is my first book of the year and my first book review and blog post. I heard about this new continuity series at the signing of Sizzle, Seduce & Simmer in Melbourne late last year.

I've enjoyed earlier books by Jameson and was happy to see that she got to do the first book in this continuity series that spans two countries, Australia and New Zealand, and deals with a family feud, lost brother and a stolen necklace. She does a great job of introducing many of the main characters and history without it being an info dump. I loved that you got glimmers of who the next players may be.

Sound intriguing? I was hooked with Kimberly's (our heroine) description of Ric Perrini - "Her lover for ten torrid weeks, her husband for ten tumultuous days. Her ex for ten tranquil years."

I enjoyed this book immensely and can't wait for the next book in the Diamonds Down Under continuity series. I'd recommend this to others who enjoy the SD format. 4 out of 5.

How did you get the picture into your review? I'm dying to know how to do this!

Diamonds Down Under

I recently read Tessa's book in this series. I'm really liking this series. Now I'm eagerly anticapating Maxine's.

Diamonds Down Under

Never read a book by Tessa but have loved Maxine's earlier books.   I went into the series knowing Bronwyn's writing style.  I've never read anything by three of the writers.  Continuity series are a great way to try out new authors.

Blogging books as I get to read them

I am so jealous that so many of my friends have Cathy's latest WW book already.

I am going to try to wait until we get Stateside again to buy it unless it is released here in the next few months.

Diamonds Down Under

Hi Ann.

I've just braved the new eHarlequin today and am stumbling around a little but managed to find your review of my Vows & A Vengeful Groom. So glad you enjoyed the start to the series. It was quite a challenge to include all the necessary background and characters, and I am chuffed to read your comment re this aspect. Info dumps = bad. (I want to include a smiley here, but can't get that to work!)

Hope you enjoy the rest of the series,
Bron
