WARRIOR by Angela Knight

SYNOPSIS:  Galar Arvid has a mission: to determine if the death of artist Jessica Kelly is the result of a time jumper.  If and only if her murderer is a temporal crime can he interfere....

Jessica's world is about to be turned completely upside down.  Until now, she has lived quietly with her roommate while painting and hoping for that big break.  Everything is about to change as she is about to encounter a world completely foreign to her own, one in which time travel is an everyday occurrence and aliens and genetic alteration have created a group of fighters.  What will happen when she loses her heart to someone so very different from herself?

MY THOUGHTS:  I loved JANE'S WARLORD when it first released and have hoped ever since that Angela Knight would return to that world.  What a thrill it is to see WARRIOR, a book featuring the time jumping Warlords and the villians they fight against!  Fans of JANE'S WARLORD will appreciate that Freika appears in WARRIOR as Freika is a phenomenal sidekick.  His feisty wisecracks make him memorable and I hope to see him in future books as well.

WARRIOR is an excellent entry into the series, and one that easily stands alone.

Jane's Warlord is in my

Jane's Warlord is in my TBR...  guess I should get to it, eh?

Looking forward

Looking forward to this one. I really like her writing and don't think I've read anything I haven't liked yet.

Oh yes...

JANE'S WARLORD is very good!

And Deb, I agree~ I haven't read a bad book by AK yet!

So far with paranormals,

So far with paranormals, I've been reading Nocturnes and books by Nina Bangs, Angela Knight, and Amanda Ashley.

NB and AK have never disappointed.  AA has a less constant, not quite as appealing magical universe, with a little less sensuality, more like general fiction than real sensual romance.  Am I the only one who thinks that way?  I like the connectedness of NB and AK's stories, I always read one and am eager to read the next in the series and see the story pick up with the next character's story.

Amanda Ashley

Her books don't work for me.  They are too... oh, I don't even know how to describe it except they always sound good but never work for me so then I get mad at myself when I buy one.  I know she has a lot of fans and I appreciate that but I have come to the realization that her books are just not for me at all.  So I know what you are saying..... although for me it is that the paranormal aspects just don't fit what I look for in a paranormal romance.

Debbie, You are so right

Debbie, you are so right on about Amanda's books. They always sound fabulous but they leave me thinking I would've gone another way with that. They are a bit flat somehow. I don't read her anymore as I've found so many more exciting authors like Patricia Briggs, J.R. Ward, Keri Arthur, Maria V. Snyder, Nalini Singh, Rachel Vincent, Lynsay Sands and I could go on and on. But I'll stop now, but if you ever need suggestions you can always ask us. We're only too willing to help you spend your money!

I read ...

janes warlord a couple of years ago.  I didnt know there was a follow up.  I wil have to search for it.

Got Books?

Glad I'm not the only one

Glad I'm not the only one thinking that about Amanda Ashley.  I too thought the books sounded so good and didn't quite know why they weren't as satisfying as other paranormals by AK and NB.
