Wed To a Stranger

Book Blurb:

Her husband had vanished

He left no trace - except a pregnant bride.  A year later, Fritzi Fitzgerald's search for him leads to a remote Alaskan village, and when a man carrying his ID is murdered, Fritzi stands accused.

A Stranger Appeared

He came from the snow-swept tundra - a swarthy denim-clad dream man with raven hair and eyes like the coats of white wolves shining in darkness.  He claimed he was Fritiz's husband - and alibi.

A Stalker Was Watching

Sharing a snowed-in cabin with her closemouthed rescuer, Fritzi sensed he was connected to her missing spouse.  But when the lights went out and eyes followed her in the dark - would Nathan Lafarge protect her and her son?

***I would rate this book as a very good read.  It had all the elements to make it excellent but it some how fell just short of being excellent; mainly because the storyline dragged at times. However, it was very suspenseful and kept you waiting for what was going to happen next.  After reading so many books I usually am able to predict the ending; but I was way off track with this book.  I enjoyed this book and it also had a surprise ending I was not expecting.

Fritzi wakes up the morning after her marriage to David Frayne to find he has completely vanished.  His clothes, toothbrush, laptop, and the many photographs taken of them over the last year were missing too; even his pillow and had been carefully fluffed to erase all traces of his having slept on it (now that's spooky!).  Her marriage certificate had disappeared; and she discovers their marriage was not filed with the state!  When she went to the Church to talk to the priest and witness where she and David had been married no one knew who she was talking about.  The building where David worked was now completely abandoned.  The only thing Fritzi has to reassure her David existed was the pregnancy she was going to surprise him with the morning after their marriage.  Fritzi knows she is not losing her mind, she is determined to find out what happened to her beloved husband.
