Okay, gang--this is my virgin review here at eHarlequin
But as a teacher and mother of a child who has overcome a reading disability and learned to love books, I really wanted to take part in the 100,000 book challenge and help get books into the hands of people who need and want to read them!
On to the book itself...
First, I must confess that I don't read too many historicals--I generally prefer a more modern tone to my books. But I have read Cheryl St. John and Pam Crooks before, and have enjoyed their books. (Cheryl's LAND OF DREAMS, is a classic, imo) A Western Winter Wonderland was no exception. The added bonus for me was discovering a new-to-me author, Jenna Kernan. In fact, her "Fallen Angel" was my favorite story in the anthology (partly because I love a tortured hero, and her ruthless bounty hunter turned hero was a great one)--something about accidentally shooting the heroine in the opening scene must appeal to my romantic suspense sensibilities.
At any rate, I found all three stories in the anthology to be richly emotional and delightful reads. Although I didn't get to it until after the holiday season, it still gave me a wonderful feel for the Christmas spirit. Personally, though I know the western historical setting is a major element, it was the characters in all three novellas who drew me into the stories and made them work for me. Three great heroes!
I'm not sure if there's a standardized rating system, but I'd give it:
4/5
Mildly sensual

Whew! One down.
