This is the third book in the Jennifer Crusie ebook bundle, and it's as good as all the others. Mitch is a private detective who fantasizes about a sexy dame as a client, and Mae is trying to find a dumb detective who'll fall for the sexy dame routine.
Like the other Crusies in the bundle, this is a fun and funny read. I think I'd have appreciated it even more if I were more into film noir and had read or seen The Maltese Falcon, since there are a fair number of references to it throughout the book. Even without having read it, I'm familiar enough with private detective clichés to appreciate how Crusie is playing with them.
