I will readily admit that I have had a love/hate relationship with Spice so far. It all started with Tease. I guess I didn't read the fine print because I was sorely disappointed, waiting upon waiting for my "happily ever after". I have since moved on to a few others. I admit to being intrigued and then torn apart emotionally by Megan Hart when reading Broken and have yet to find the nerve to read Dirty. And I have just finished reading Caine's Reckoning and I am already wishing for July so I can read part two by Sarah McCarty, Sam's Creed.
So here is my question to my fellow readers (that's all of you). Have you tried Spice yet? And if you have what's been your favorite and why? If you haven't what is holding you back?

Spice books
I have also had a love/hate relationship with the Spice books. I remember thinking Tease was a alright book but didn't feel pulled in. Then I read Lying in Bed and it was so boring that it turned me off since I had yet to be overwhelmed. But I gave them a chance with Dirty and loved it enough to get Broken. I wouldn't have gotten either if I hadn't seen all the blogs on them. I do have Caine's Reckoning coming up after seeing all the good blogs on it. So I figured maybe it just took a few books or authors to just get that line going. So far Dirty is my favorite spice but that could change since I haven't gotten to Broken or Caine. I think maybe when I got the first Spice I was expecting a more explicit version of the Blaze lines and that was why I was alittle put off. *shrugs* I'm babbling now lol.
What you see is what you get out of me you dont like it I dont like you.
That's it exactly!
I was expecting a pumped up version of Blaze. I loved Caine's Reckoning and I am now in the process of buying ALL of McCarty's backlist and am looking forward to Sam's Creed. You'll love it even if you only enjoy it half as much as I did. lol
I haven't read them yet.........
with the exception of an online read or two. I'm not really sure why I'm so hesitant (especially since I love LL!!!) but I'm just not sure I want to jump in that pool yet.
My problems with Tease were to do with her stupidity
I reread it recently and it grows on you a little (though I still
feel the character was criminally stupid to put her trust in someone
she didn't know)
I loved all three of Megan's Spices and also
Sarah's book and I'm finding the minis and briefs useful for deciding
on other Spice author's voices
I didn't care about the non HEA,
but I need more than just sex, and I felt some of the stories and books
fell between two genres without satisfying the fans of either

Spice
I bought Tempted and Dirty because I was curious about this line. Haven't read them yet though. Not sure why. I am laughing at myself right now because when I saw the link to favorite spice and all I could think was cinnamon, then I realized you meant the book line. It must be time for bed.

I am fond of nutmeg. Does that help? LOL
Megan Hart is a heck of an author. I hope you enjoy her books. I think "Broken" just put me on emotional overload.
