Who is really who...

I loved it when I found out that J.D. Robb was Nora Roberts. Also that JAK was Castle and Quick. Then again when I learned that she was Stephanie James. I was really happy to learn that J.R. Ward was Jessica Bird. I still have a lot of the Bird books I need to get.

Lynn Viehl is also S.L. Viehl and writes a sci-fi series Star Doc that I've read for years. Sherrilyn Kenyon is also Kinley MacGregor.

is also Wendy Corsi Staub.  Markham writes lighter, humourous romances and Staub writes Romantic Suspense... and the latter are a whole lot darker!

Jayne Ann Krentz not only continues to write as Jayne Castle (her maiden name) and Amanda Quick, but she also wrote, as Margie mentioned, as Stephanie James.  All her James' stories were originally released under the Silhouette imprint and many of them are now being re-released under her JAK name.

But JAK also wrote a few books under Jayne Bentley, one each under Jayne Taylor (Whirlwind Courtship) and Amanda Glass (Shield's Lady).  Shield's Lady was later reprinted, again, under JAK.  And I have both the last two books... under the original names.  With JAK, I tended to go a little overboard.  *sigh*

1.  Dorothy Garlock used to also write under the names Dorothy Phillips, Dorothy Glenn and Johanna Phillips as well.

2. Agatha Christie wrote gothic *romances* under the name Mary Westmacott 

And don't get me started on Robert Ludlum and Jack Higgins. 

... I read 3 or 4 her Westmacott books ~ namely 'cause I wanted everything, but I didn't keep them...  they just didn't do anything for me... guess I'm not much of a gothic romance fan. 
'Course it could be that I didn't care for the endings either.  *grin*
