Rachel escapes to the rain forest trying to outwit an assassin, and hoping that everyone will think that she has died. While going deeper into the forest she feels as if she has come home, and when she tires she comes across a hidden house. Nobody is home and she curls up for the night.
Rio is going home after a dangerous mission. He gets teh shock of his life when he enters his house and sees Rachel in his bed. Fully believing that she is sent by his enemies to kill him, he unleashes his animal side. Rachel wakes up to find that her exile might be more dangerous than the life she was living.
I really enjoyed this book. The only thing I didn't like was that it seemed to take a lot of pages to really get moving. After everything was revealed the story picked right up. Other than that though, Rio was great and it was good to see Maggie and Brandt again from The Awakening. I hope she writes another in the Leopard series!
