Wind Power

I mentioned on the Struggling Writers Club 3 thread that I'd post a picture of our downed tree & power line, so here it is:

Broken Locust Tree and power line

I know we're really blessed that it didn't take the line completely down and start a fire. Not only that, but it didn't do anything to our electricity. Now while we wait for the electric company to get out here and fix it, we stay vigilant, keeping stray cats and other creatures off the tree. (For some reason, the line doesn't seem to affect the birds, but we're concerned lest the added weight of a feline could cause the tree to break off completely and damage the line.) If you're the praying type, please pray that it won't cause a fire. Thanks!

Fixed, PTL!

Yes, someone came out yesterday and took care of it with a chainsaw and a cherrypicker.  He even took down the top part of the tree and a few neighboring branches on the "tree next door" to keep them from being a danger to the wire.  It's such a blessing.  Now we can feel free to leave home again.

How's your mom?  Someone mentioned somewhere on the boards that she was sick, and we've been praying for her and for you.  I hope everything is all right with all of you!  (((hug)))
