Nikki is sent to Hong Kong to track the Diviner but upon arriving learns her contact has been killed. She meets up with Johnny Zhao on the freighter where the signal is strongest when suddenly it's gone. Nikki's special talent is her nose, which she uses to smell emotions and thoughts. Can she trust Johhny and how should the mission proceed.
This was pretty interesting but I did have a hard time with Nikki's wishy washy attitude. She started off a very strong Athena girl but after going to Johhny's grandfather's dojo she became a bit of a brat with wanting to get her own way more than focusing on her mission. After the last few I'm ready to wind this series down. I did enjoy the description of the underworld goings on. Johhny's grandfather was a very interesting man who'd attained his balance in life. Good in that I enjoyed the martial arts aspects.
Her wishy-washy
attitude really wasn't what I've come to expect from this series at all. I was so excited when they continued this series after the Bombshells ended but not if they are going to change what the expectations are.
