I know I said I'd start off my reviews of my favourite werewolf romances (working on that), but a crisis with wolves on this side of the page has priority.
The Bush Administration has just handed down its long-awaited "License to Kill" rule. It's the equivalent of a death sentence for hundreds of endangered gray wolves in Greater Yellowstone and across the Northern Rockies.
If this senseless plan moves forward, both Wyoming and Idaho are planning to use aerial gunning -- as well as baiting and trapping -- to exterminate hundreds of wolves. Taken together, their plans could drive northern Rocky Mountain gray wolves back to the brink of extinction.
But there is a campaign in motion to put a halt to this. It's the only real hope these wolves have. Help them now.
